![]() The observant ones may realise that the "happiness" level at the top is the same as the current multiplier! woohoo! This means that if you keep your peasants happy, then you will gain even more honour a day! Lucky you eh? :D Special cards can be played, which we will address later, which means you have an increase of honour! woohoo! This means unless you control a parish, there's not too much you can do on this one. Parishes can place certain buildings down (such as statues) to improve the amount of honour everybody gains in their parish. ![]() The Parish Bonus depends on what parish you are in. Honor is given depending on some different key aspects of your village. Collecting honour allows you to advance through the rank system and you can spend honour on levelling up your lord. The honor system is a great starting point as this is the way you can process through the game, get new upgrades and so on. Saw two comments made from an experienced player correcting where I went wrong on the Honor decoration as well as also telling me that I forgot about taxes (oops! sorry!) The CookPerfect sensor measures the temperature in 5 different places along the length of the needle and thus always knows which is the coolest place. With the CookPerfect Comfort thermometer or CookPerfect Wireless thermometer, you do not have to aim for the coolest place in the meat with the sensor. How to Cook Steak with a Meat Thermometer How long to cook a well-done steak? Cook the steak until it reaches 70☌ to get it well-done. If you want to try it once, you can even make pulled beef from the tri-tip roast. There is one piece of meat that can be cooked well-done, and that is the tri-tip roast. What temperature is a medium-well steak? A medium-well steak should have a temperature of 60☌. In principle, a medium-cooked steak is taking it too far, however, if you prefer your steak medium, we recommend a fattier type of steak, such as Black Angus or Wagyu. What temperature is an extra rare steak? An extra rare steak should have a temperature of 45-48☌. Examples of steaks that are extra rare are carpaccio, steak tartare, and roast beef. We would recommend using tenderloin, preferably a tournedos, chateaubriand, fillet steak, or filet mignon. You should use very lean beef for this, preferably expensive meat with little taste in itself. It should not grill for longer than around 10-20 seconds on a very hot grill, and the results are a steak, which is red on the inside and a lighter brown on the outside. The extra rare steak is for those who prefer their steak raw. The thermometer will then tell you the exact temperature of the steak. ![]() Insert the sensor in the middle of the steak, making sure you hit the coolest part of the meat. You measure the core temperature with a meat thermometer. Here are the core temperatures for each cooked steak: However, the best way to find out how cooked your steak is is by measuring the core temperature. This method is often used by professional chefs with much experience. Meat becomes firmer in the core when heated, while the fat softens. The more brown the middle of the steak is, the closer it is to being well-done.Īnother thing you can do is feel how cooked the steak is. ![]() The color of the meat changes from bright red to brown when heated. To find out how “done” your steak is, you can cut into the meat and take a look at the middle. It is the core temperature of the meat that is important. In fact, it is not the time that is decisive when grilling your steak to your preferred “doneness”. You should, in any case, aim for cooking your steak to no more than 60☌ in order to retain the most tenderness, flavor, and juiciness. The average steak should be cooked medium-rare, which is when it reaches a temperature of 55☌. You do this best by monitoring the temperature of the steak during cooking When you cook a steak, you want to obtain optimal tenderness, flavor, and juiciness. But the tags and remote branches stay behind. I can push origin master, and push this all to the new AB shared repo. I do a git init –bare AB.git, then clone AB, then do these remote/merge/move/commits for A and B per your instruction. Lets say I want to merge repo’s A and B into new repo AB. Just do a few regular, normal merges and you’ll have what you want. So, if you’re simply trying to merge two repositories together into one repository and make it look like it was that way all along, don’t mess with submodules or subtree merges. This is not the same thing as the thing called a “ subtree merge“. We’re doing a normal recursive merge here (the “-s recursive” part isn’t strictly necessary because that’s the default) but we’re passing an argument to the recursive merge that tells Git that we’ve renamed the target and that helps Git line them up correctly. This is the only non-obvious part of the whole operation. Git merge -s recursive -Xsubtree=old_a old_a/feature-in-progress # Bring over a feature branch from one of the old repos If we have in-progress feature branches in the old repositories that also need to come over to the new repository, that’s also quite easy: Obviously you could instead merge old_b into old_a (which becomes the new combined repo) if you’d rather do that – modify the script to suit. (Since we did a rename, you have to do “git log –follow ” to see that history, but that’s true for any file rename operation, not just for our repo-merge.) Now we have all the files from OldA and OldB in repository New, sitting in separate subdirectories, and we have both the commit history and the individual file history for all files. ![]() Git commit -m “Move old_b files into subdir” # Move the old_a repo files and folders into a subdirectory so they don’t collide with the other repo coming laterĭir –exclude old_a | % # Clean up our dummy file because we don’t need it any more # Merge the files from old_a/master into new/master # Add a remote for and fetch the old repo # Before we do a merge, we have to have an initial commit, so we’ll make a dummy commit # Assume the current directory is where we want the new repository to be created

Here's tribute to our buddy O, a necessary addition to any collection of the elements. As in groups 14 and 15, the lightest element of group 16, oxygen, is found in nature as the free element. The main killer is that pure O2 will often rip in two to make two naughty O1's, a.k.a. Hydrogen can also be produced by the electrolysis of water. The syngas is separated to give hydrogen. Most hydrogen is produced by heating natural gas with steam to form syngas (a mixture of hydrogen and carbon monoxide). The number eight also means that oxygen has eight protons in the nucleus. Any hydrogen that does enter the atmosphere quickly escapes the Earth’s gravity into outer space. Oxygen with the symbol O has the atomic number 8 which means it is the 8th element in the table. Evolution has adapted to the familiar gas "alloy" of 21% oxygen more than that and our bodies have trouble coping. The Periodic Table of elements can tell you a lot about the elements. A very reactive element, oxygen (O) belongs to the non-metals family in the periodic table which consists of elements such as carbon (C). Within-group effects usually mean the impact of the addition of one more participant to a network on other participants in the same group. The presence of cross-group effects on digital platforms, particularly when they are positive on both sides, may have a considerable impact on market structure. The figure above schematically shows the different types of network effects that can arise in two-sided platforms. For example, congestion is a negative network effect whereby having too many users on the platform can degrade the value of using it.īecause platforms may have two or more sides, the network effects can be within-group, when a new user affects the value of the platform for all other users on the same side but it can also be cross-group, when an additional user makes affects the value of the platform for users on the opposite side. But there may be different effects for users on either side of the platform, and the impact of a new user may be either positive or negative, depending on the application being supported by the platform. For each new user that joins the platform, the existing user base is affected. In the case of digital platform, analysis of externalities or network effects is more complicated. So, the utility of Google to both existing consumers and advertisers is affected by the actions of a new consumer joining the platform. This, in turn, marginally enhances the utility of Google advertising to all consumers. This action has no direct impact on existing consumers, but it creates a marginal benefit for advertisers (who now have slightly more data to work with when setting their advertising algorithms). With this information, advertisers target consumers more efficiently whenever they are online and searching the Internet.Ĭonsider the impact of a consumer starting to use Google’s services. In turn Google will collect information regarding consumers’ behaviour while searching (anonymously and/or in aggregate form so as to preserve privacy) and then sell to interested advertisers. ![]() They will pay an Internet service provider (ISP) a monthly fee for connectivity but they will not pay Google for making the search. The users on one side have no direct relationship with the users on the other side of the platform, but each is affected by the presence of the other.Ī typical example is that of consumers accessing Google to search the Internet. Externalities arise from digital platforms because they act as economic agents matching two distinct groups of users, one on each side of the platform. Externalities (which are also known as network effects ) are an economic concept: they are a cost or benefit of an economic activity experienced by a third party which has no relation with the one causing the activity. One of the reasons why digital platform are special is the presence of externalities. Explanation of externalities on digital platforms I mean does it really? For the first four sectors, there's only one level of planet danger (and even when they do the thing with variations it'll only be 1.01 to 1.99), so you can kind of go wherever you want and it won't matter, because everything is the same strength.
